Cartamundi Buys The United States Playing Card Company

BREAKING NEWS! Yesterday, Newell Brands announced that it has signed a definitive agreement to sell The United States Playing Card Company(“USPC”) to Cartamundi Group!

USPC, based in Erlanger, KY is the leader in the production and distribution of premier brands of playing cards, including BICYCLE®, BEE®, AVIATOR®, HOYLE®, and FOURNIER®. The business employs over 350 people and has manufacturing facilities in the U.S. city of Erlanger (Kentucky) and the Spanish city of Vitoria (Álava).In 2018 net sales for USPC were approximately $112 million. Acquisition to expand portfolio of products offered by Cartamundi to its customers. According to the Stefaan Merckx, CEO of Cartamundi,
